The PAD500 is a dual balanced line attenuator. It is used after a mic preamp or any effect that you want to drive hot without clipping your converters.

There are 2 attenuators available: One is wired between the in and out XLR's at the back of the lunchbox, the other between the 2 jacks at the front.
