Also, I made sure the Polarity switch is flipped to the left since leaving it in the middle mutes the output. Still no sound.

MP573 Microphone preamplifier / No Output

Hi Jean Pierre,

I just completed the build of the MP573 and got the expected values with the short circuit check, general power check (23.7V and 23.6V with Transformer plugged in) and the bias adjust (3V). The bright side is I do see the input LED light up when I speak into my microphone, and it also lights up when I plug in my guitar through the DI input. The problem is, I hear no output. What could be the problem here? Please help, thanks.

Ok I just checked. I do have the pots in the correct placement. 100k for peak, 4k7c for gain.

Hi,

I just assembled my LA502 a couple nights ago and went through the setup guide. Testing went fine and all my measurements were within spec. When it came time to adjust the LED's, I adjusted them as the instructions stated. However, when running signals through the unit, the compression knob is extremely sensitive. If I turn the peak knob from zero to about the 5th dash line, it will read -3dB, but if I turn it a little bit more (somewhere around the 10th dash line) it'll jump all the way to between -9 and -12 drastically. Maybe I missed something when dialing in p3, p4, and p5? This isn't normal behavior is it? I think the compression is supposed to be more gradual and smoother? Please help! Thanks.
