MC624 Monitor Controller / Re: MC624+REM624 issues

I had a IC reversed and it is working now. Thanks
After using this for a few days, I have a few questions / comments:
1) is there a way to adjust the brightness of the number display? I would like to make it dimmer in the studio. I suppose the 1k5 resistor networks could be increased but wanted to check if there were a simpler option.
2) I expected 'L only' or 'R only' combined with mono would play L (or R) through both speakers, but it does not. Looking at the schematic I would expect it would?
3) When listening at low volume the dim function doesn't reduce the volume as much as it should. Is this because total attenuation is maximum at -63dB? So with a -18dB dim setting, it will be incomplete when the volume is lower than -45dB? Curious if there is any adjustment for this? If not, I can bring down the volume on each of my speaker pairs.
