Hi there,
we just finished soldering the CP4500 a few days ago... now when we power it up R42 starts smoking. We double checked every capacitor, soldering joint, OP's and checked if every diode is in the right direction.
But now we ran out of ideas.

We have revision 1.4

Thanks in advance

Unplug all IC's,
Disconnect the meter connector CN4,
Disconnect the front PCB,
Power on

If still the same, look for solder bridges.
If not, step back on at a time, front PCB, meter, ...

Hey there and thanks.

So our pcb A and front pcb are fine. The problem is the vu-meter. There is a bridge between the blue and black wire. Should there be a bridge ? Maybe it's a production issue. Is it possible to order a new vu-meter ?

Many thanks
