Clicks and pops after couple days then failure
Hi there
Hope you're well
I finished the build and all worked well for a day or two then one day I turned on the MP573 and there was strange noise floor and random low level pops on audio.
I have rechecked voltages from 'In case your MP573 doesnt work' and there is a couple of discrepencies now. After finishing build, when I checked all these voltages they were nearly perefctly matched to document.
K has a definite problem @.41v rather than 22. C is probaly within tolerance?
e: 197
d: 13.12
f:12.49
a:2.51
b:4.07
c:19.04
g: .93
h:4.1
L:3.03
I: .33
J:3.54
K: .41
The signal is also very distored now and only comes through on very high gain
Any thoughts on what issue might be?
Many thanks

K being the only wrong value, I would check the solder joints on the connector CN2 (output transformer connection), both on the socket and wires to transformer.
What DC voltage do you get directly on the metal tab (collector) of Q6, against TP2?

Re: Clicks and pops after couple days then failure
Hi
Thanks for reply.
I fluxed and resoldered the joints and the issue is gone.
22.3v again
Thanks again
