Hi eveybody,
I just received the 1176 kit, and before starting anything I examined the pcb's with a magnifiying glass, just to check there was no solder bleed or other blobs between tracks. All seemed well, except for one set of pads I'm not sure about. Can someone please advise me. I can't post a photo here, so I'll just have to describe it.
The PCB in question is the Front PCB, where the pots and switches are mounted. Where the rotary switch for the ratios is mounted, there is a ring of twelve pads, and two inner pads. When viewed from the rear side, in the 1 o'clock position, the outer pad has electrical continuity with the adjacent inner pad (I used the DMM). I don't know if they are meant to be joined in a siamese fashion, or they are just VERY close but should not be not joined. I couldn't see anything in the schematic which would help understand this. Anyone know the answer to this?
Thanks, George
