Great sound, great kit
I've had it for about 5 years now and it sounds great on everything. Great clarity and tone. I particularly love the DI bass sound. Granted, I don't have day to day access to an original Neve to compare the sound, but it sounds great. The build was pretty easy, with good documentation.

Excellent
A fantastic device. Well thought out design and excellent sound quality. The stereo image is not affected and the integration of the remote control is very easy. Comparable devices cost at least 5 times more.

Excellent Compressor!
I bought this unit already assembled on Reverb. This a very musical sounding comp. I use it mainly on Bass but it works great on all kind of sources. You can dial in a quite heavy compression without it being too obvious. It does not color too much. This is a professional Hi End compressor. I like it a lot!

Wonderful Preamp!
I bought it already assembled via Reverb. Comes very close to the original. The quality is actually on the same level soundwise. Warm, punchy, yet wich great resolution and depth. It does have the "magic" in the midrange that one would expect. The DI works exceptionally well for Bass. A fantastic preamp, I want another one!

Great preamp with small part inconsistencies
Just went through the build process of this preamp, no major complaints other than two things:
1. My kit did not have the SIL2.54 13-pin 90° headers, but I received straight headers instead - I tried bending them to 90° with catastrophic consequences, but luckily I was able to McGyver my way out by dremel'ing out similar parts from my own stash of random SIL 2.54 connectors.
2. One of the output tranny screws was bent a little bit and had no threads on it (!). Local hardware stores didn't have an exact replacement so I had to go full DIY here also and cut the threads to the screw myself.
Without the issues mentioned above I'd definitely give this kit the full 5 stars. Nevertheless the preamp works & sounds great, and overall I felt it was an easy build. I didn't really mind that much about the extra steps mentioned above, in the end they just added a bit more DIY to the build.
I definitely recommend this kit even with the small issues I had!

5 stars is not enough!!!
Just finished my second MP 573...i really love this characterful preamp...it has all the classic vintage characzer, i was looking for...full sounding and handy bottom end, silky highs...extactly this "larger than life" i was reaching for...not a neutral, modern preamp, but still detailed, airy and very, very musical...5 stars is not enough!!!

Fantastic!
Brilliant unit. Bought two, easy build and set-up. Adds warmth and squeeze to everything, dial-able saturation. Sounds great on drumbus and mix bus. Thank you!

Excellent!
This is an extremely versatile and excellent sounding compressor. I bought this unit already assembled and could not be happier. It does the SSL Glue thing and much, much more. I like it even more than the original, More options and possibilities. Highly recommended!

my 2nd DIY-Module
This Module was my 2nd DIY build. After I learnd my lesson on my 1st build, what it means to organise all parts befor you start, It was a joy to build this EQ.
And in the end, the most important thing is, this module rocks!!! Compared to my UAD 1073 EQ the EQ curves are very similar and the sonic characteristics are very close, but through the hardware unit, the signal has more body, is more 3 dimensional. I really love this peace of gear. Next thing is building the MP573 an run the EQ through it...Thank you Jean-Pierre for these beautiful kits.

Love at first sight
I love everything about Soundskulptor.
The documentation i excellent, the kits are very well designed in order to be easy to build. And the products bring excellent value for your money.
The CP4500 is no exception. Every knob change the sound in a noticable way, and the result is almost always musical. This SSL-style buscompressor beats every plugin available (my opinion), and I use it on every song as a glue compressor in mastering.
I just wished I have ordered this product years ago.
